Alexandra Bowers
I’ve served as a marketer at the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, since I was a student in 2016. Throughout my time there I’ve led many comprehensive marketing initiatives across more than 20 departments and centers. I utilize my unique blend of user-centric design expertise, MBA-level business acumen, and data-driven marketing strategies to build effective working relationships across all organizational levels while delivering measurable outcomes that align with institutional goals and University branding.
I am the team lead for graphic design, digital marketing and social media for the Chambers College. I manage the College’s online graduate programs advertising campaigns in collaboration with an agency and campus partners and oversees a small but dynamic social media team—leading the strategy across multiple social media channels resulting in heightened follower growth and engagement since April 2024.
Over the course of my nine years at WVU, I have honed the ability to create within the framework of a large, established University brand while pushing the Chambers College’s identity forward. Navigating pivotal moments in the College’s history, from the John Chambers College naming in 2018 to the Building Beyond fundraising campaign and Reynolds Hall Grand Opening in Fall 2022. As the College’s brand has evolved, as well as a universal shift from traditional marketing to digital first, so has my own perspective and leadership, resulting in work that is both aligned with WVU’s broader vision and uniquely representative of the Chambers College community.
I’m a proud Morgantown native and WVU alumna with a degree in Graphic Design and a Master's in Business Administration, my work is driven by a passion for collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. I value building strong relationships with colleagues, students, and partners, fostering creative environments where ideas can grow and thrive.
