After the announcements I began the process of creating a co-brand for this new partnership and following around our hospitality students to gather assets for this big initiative.
Collaboration
Led creative coordinating with central WVU StratComm, Nemacolin’s Marketing Team, our development officers, and donors as well as faculty and staff in the hospitality program.
We were able to lean into the navy and cream in both brands color palette and determine that the Chambers College takes the lead with educational facing materials and Nemacolin leads when they are hosting our students and partners at their location.

During the 23-24 academic year one of my priorities was to follow the event planning class to Nemacolin and capture our students there as well as the new experiential learning project. It was a great experience for me too, as a marketer to students I gained a different perspective work closely with this class and get to know some of the students.
Social media marketing
Social Media was a key tool in getting the word out on our new partnership with Nemacolin. This gift was multi-faceted and could impact the local region.
We have a Nemacolin Highlight that stays on the top of our Instagram page
We've done multiple student takeovers that showcase student experiential learning opportunities through this partnership.
We also have takeovers that showcase what an internship there might really be like.
There is also an annual Chef's competition that the students help plan throughout their semester and attend in April that we like to showcase each year as well.
